How to enter
The dates of entry are 1st – 18th September 2010.
Entry costs 10,00 euros per person. This money along with the sponsorship money you raise will go directly towards our chosen charities work into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer.
We aim to keep our organisational costs to a minimum covering the costs of medals t shirts etc, with corporate sponsorship. Our local townhall are supporting us with marketing and other materials we require. Once all costs have been covered then all monies raised through entry fees, sponsorship and those collected on the day during the event will be divided between our two chosen charities Cancer Research UK and Fundació Oncolliga Girona.
1. You can download your entry form from this website and print it off (or collect a form from one of the offices mentioned below). You must then complete the form with all your details and read and sign out conditions of entry. Please note: entry forms can be downloaded from the box on the left.
2. Once completed and signed go along to “La Caixa” bank and pay your enrty fee into the account that is given on the form. The bank will give you a paying-in receiptwhich we need a copy off or if you make an online transfer we will need a printout of the transaction as proof of payment.
3. You can then hand in completed entry form and copy of the payment receipt the Tourist information centre in Estartit, Casa Pastors in Torroella de Montgri or “Kings Property Management office” in Estartit. You will then be given your “Walk for Life” entry pack which will include your t-shirt, among other things. The idea of the t-shirt is to print the name and/or photo of the person you are walking in memory/support or honour of. Photos can br printed on the tshirt at Can Gorres, Estartit or Digital in Torroella de Montgri (please ask for details) for aproox. 3 euros.
4. Included in your pack is also sponsorship forms for you to raise your own personal sponsorship. You can also use justgiving,com.
5. Only women over the age of 16 are able to take part in the walk. However on the day there will be other fund raising events running during the Walk so that the men and children don’t miss out!
